The text of Patimokha was written in Pali and contains a list of the 227 rules abided by monks. A recitation of the Patimokkha by a monk takes place in an assembly of the Sangha in the monastic hall on every full moon day and new moon day which is called uposatha day.

Folio 43 on the verso side: In Culasakkarat hundred 67 (should be CS 1167), a hap pao year, on the ninth day of the waning moon of the twelfth [lunar] month, on Saturday, in the morning (6:00–7:30), Chao Khana (Mr. ex-monk) Anosa inscribed this manu-script. Thao (Mr.) Khün had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the palm leaves and brought them to the monastery for making the manuscript entitled Patimoka to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hotu (May this be a condition to reach Nirvana).
