The text of Patimokha was written in Pali and contains a list of the 227 rules abided by monks. A recitation of the Patimokkha by a monk takes place in an assembly of the Sangha in the monastic hall on every full moon day and new moon day which is called uposatha day.

Folio 45 on the recto side: In Cula-sakkarat (CS) 1229, a moeng mao year, on the thirteenth day of the waxing moon of the third [lunar] month, a tao set day, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), at the time of the morning drum (7:30–9:00), the writing of this manuscript was finished. Thit (Mr. ex-monk) No and Sao (Mrs.) Kaeo, husband and wife, had jointly the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manu-script entitled Lamsut to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last the longest. May this be a condition for Lokiya (worldly property), Lokuttara (supermandance) and Magga-nibbana (Nirvana) which are the ultimate Dhamma for me.
