The text of Patimokha was written in Pali and contains a list of the 227 rules abided by monks. A recitation of the Patimokkha by a monk takes place in an assembly of the Sangha in the monastic hall on every full moon day and new moon day which is called uposatha day.

Phaya Luang Müangchan and his wife had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Lam Sutmon to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until its very end of this palm-leaf manuscript.
