The text is about Munlaküt or Mullaküt (the origin of thought), the belief of rites and cremation for the dead. The text describes the beginning of the world. When the Buddha was born as a king named Phaya Samantaraja, he ruled four cities. The king organized funeral ceremonies for his citizens differently depending on the causes of their deaths. For example, when a person died from drowning, the king ordered people to rub the body with turmeric powder and dust before cremations. These death rites are followed until present days.
