The text gives the story of the wealthy man Jotika who never had his property depleted. In the period of the Vipassi Buddha, he was born as a kudumbi (a rich man) named Aparājita and had religious faith in the Teachings of the Buddha. He built a kuti (abode) decorated with seven kinds of crystals and offered it to the Buddha and the Sangha. As a result of the merit he accrued, he possessed great prosperity in all of his lives.

Folio 25 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1217, a hap mao year, on the first day of the waxing moon of the twelfth [lunar] month, the second day of the week (Monday), a kat khai day, at the time of the morning drum (7:30–9:00), the writing of this manuscript was finished. Hua Chao Khamtan and his wife had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Lam Sotaka-setthi to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 thousand years. May all our wishes and desires be fulfilled. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no dhuvaṃ niccaṃ niccaṃ. (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana, constantly and certainly).
