Description of manuscript content:
The Pali alphabet consists of 41 letters devided into 8 vowels, 33 consonants, and a nasal sound.
Colophon:
Folio 36 on the recto-verso side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1253, a huang mao year, on the ninth waxing day of the tenth [lunar] month, the sixth day of the week (Friday). The writing of this manuscript had been finished at noon between 10.30-12.099 o’clock. On 11 September in Tattanakosin Era 110 (AD1892). Pha Phatsanulak, the commissary who had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sipsong Tamnan, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no niccaṃ dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ paramaṃ sukkhaṃ (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana which is the greatest bliss, certainly). I am Chao Phia Sisutthamma reviewed this manuscript comparing to the typed manuscript which published by His Majesty King in Bangkok.
