The text contains about Arabic stylistics. Naẓam Amani contains only two branches of balāghah (Arabic literature) namely Bayān and ma‘ānī which are summarized in one hundred verses of poetry. In addition, there are summaries of several books such as Mukhtasar badī ’wa al-ma’ānī by As‘ad al-Dīn al-Rajī and kitab al-Misbāḥ by Imām Badr al-Dīn.

The text has many additional notes written in the margins on each page. In the recto section of the first sheet there is a description of the origin of the manuscript, namely: "This belongs to Tuanku Sijunjung who is located in Calau".
