The manuscript contains seven texts; (1) The text is about Islamic theology (tawḥīd). It starts with stating that tawḥīd is the basic knowledge of Islam and it continues with the pillars of the faith; (2) The text is about oblution and shalat. It starts with saying that no religious observation is valid when the person is not perfectly cleansed. It continues with the oblution, the articles of the faith, and their requirements; (3) The text contains the history of the debate around taqwīm. It starts with the differences of opinion between the ulama Ahmad Qushāshī in Mecca and Hamzah Fansuri. Abdurrauf expanded Qushāshī's understanding while Kiarangga in Minangkabau expanded on that of Hamzah Fansuri. (4) The text is about the rules for reading the Quran. (5) The text is about Islamic theology (tawḥīd). (6) The secrets behind the shalat; (7) The text is about dhikr and tawajjuh. (8) The text is about God and covers His unicity and that no one is next to him.

Other notes:
On the last page is written “Abdul Muin 1398”. There is an opinion in Arabic that states that taqwīm is used to calculate all the moons except that in the month Ramaḍān. It is unnecessary to fast in Ramaḍān by following the outcome of ḥisāb or taqwīm.
