The manuscript is about Islamic jurisprudence according to the Shāfi‘ī School. It starts with a chapter on the evening prayers halfway the month Sya’bān (nisf Sya’bān), and ends with a chapter on how intentions (niat) have to be said. It also deals with the tradition in Nusantara of beating the drum (bedug) to call for prayers which, according to the author of the manuscript is allowed.
Other notes:
The title in the last page of manuscript is written in Roman script. The Arabic script does not use diacritics. On the first page is written the title of the text: Buku Fikih Imam Syafi i in Roman script which was probably added later.
