Description of manuscript content:
The text describes the merit derived from listening to the chanting or preaching of Sai noi and from making the manuscript entitled Sap Sai. By making the manuscript Sai noi, the sponsor would get the same merit as from making thousands of Buddha statues. The Buddha said that "the ones who give food and water – meaning, giving energy; the ones who give clothes – meaning, giving beauty; the ones who give Dhamma – meaning, giving humanity and wisdom, to escape from suffering.

Folio 11 on the recto and verso sides: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1205, a ka mao year, Hua (Monk) Ta and novice Poen had the religious faith to sponsor the making [of this manuscript entitled] Sap Sai Nòi for preaching purposes in support of the Teachings of the Buddha. The writing [of this manuscript] was finished on the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), on the eighth waning day of the eighth [lunar] month, at noon, a kap sanga day, to support the Teachings of the Buddha. Nibbāna paccayo hotu dhuvaṃ sādhu (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvāna, certainly, Aman!). May I share the merits with the scribe. Thu (Sathu) Nyai Sangharat (the supreme patriarch) Thammayana Thela repaired this manuscript in BE 2504.
