The manuscript contains a fragment of the Tafsīr al-Jalālayn, starting with Sūrat al-Fātiḥah and ending with Sūrat al-Isrā’. This work is very popular in Nusantara and still being used, especially in traditional pesantrens in Indonesia.

Other notes:
The manuscript is bound in brown leather with floral motives. After the colophon, information on the owner is stated as: ”Hādhā al-kitāb ḥaqq Hasan fī Gunung Jati Talaga”. The manuscript has interlinear and marginal glosses in Javanese. The text is written with the use of diacritics; text written in red ink has diacritics in black. Looking at the manuscript material and watermark, the manuscript was probably written in the 19th century although the colophon indicates that it was written in the 17th century.
