The text is the Serat Selarasa in Javanese poetic meters (tembang macapat). It tells the story of the wanderings of Selarasa and the many hindrances and obstacles he meets such as with the jin king Patih Nurjaman. At the end Selarasa is adopted by Patih Nurjaman.
Other notes:
On page 79 (image 6v) some illegible text is written in blue ink. On page 90 (image 17v) is an illustration of a Garuda bird and three wayang-style figures. The manuscript has lost its covers and the paper has started to become brittle, especially in the right-hand bottom corners, causing loss of text. The manuscript is incomplete as many pages are missing at the beginning and end. Page numbers in Roman numerals have only been provided at the top of the recto sides of the pages and start with number 74. Some pages have holes without causing loss of text.
