The manuscript is a telegram written on Monday, 5 February 1934. The text contains QS. Al Fajr verse 9-12 (in Arabic script) and a translation into Malay in Roman script. The translation runs as follows:
dan kaoem Samoed jang telah memotong mereka kepada batoe jang ada di goeha dan Firaun jang mempoenjai patok jang telah latjoet mereka di dalam negri.
The end is unreadable because of holes in the paper.

The letter head says Nederlandsch-Indische ESCOMPTO Maatschappij and refers to a banking corporation established in Batavia in 1857.
