When the Bodhisattva (the one who will become a Buddha) was born as King Suttasom ruling the Kingdom of Inthapat, he was imprisoned by one of his close friends, King Porisat of Varanasi, together with 101 other kings to be sacrificially killed. King Suttasom taught King Porisat to understand what is right and wrong, until King Porisat was remorseful. Finally, King Porisat released the Bodhisattva and all the other kings and he settled and became a virtuouss king for the rest of his life.
