Description of manuscript content:
Two woodpeckers lived with their babies in a nest in a tree in a forest. There were two herds of elephants walking towards the tree. The birds were afraid that the herd would harm their children so they talked to the king elephants and begged. The first king elephant, Kotsalo blocked the path where the bird’s nest was located until all members of the herd had passed. But the second king elephant, Devadata did not listen to, he used his trunk to pull down the bird’s nest and stomped the baby birds to death.
The string hole is loose. This manuscript is one fascicle of a series of twelve fascicles which are wrapped with a cotton wrapping cloth and has a wooden label (mai pi) containing the title “list of Dhamma Siao Savat consisting of 12 fascicles”.
