Description of manuscript content:
Thanakhan or Dānaka means "Alms-giving" is the third section of the 13 sections of Vessantara Jataka. Thanakhan ban ton is the first part of the episode. The text mentions about the great alms-giving of Vessantara. Before leaving his kingdom to Mount Vamka, Prince Vessantara distributed many things as gifts which called "Satta jataka maha dana" (seven kinds of alms-gifts) including elephants, horses, carts, servants, dairy cows, male and female slaves, 700 each. Then Prince Vessantara, his wife Maddī and his two children, Jali and Kanha left the kingdom directing to Mount Vamka.
