Description of manuscript content:
Chulaphon or Cullapon (the section on the small forest) is the sixth section of the 13 sections of the Vessantara Jataka which consists of 16 fascicles. This Cullapon is the eighth fascicle. The content describes about a beggar Brahmin called Jujaka who was walking directly to Mount Vamka for bagging the two kumara, Jali and Kanha from Prince Vessantara. On his way, Jujaka met Hunter Jetaputta. When he was chasing by the hunter dogs, he climbed a tree. Then he tricked the hunter that he was the royal emissary to invite Prince Vessantara returned home. The hunter trusted him easily and pointed the way to Mount Vamka.
