Description of manuscript content:
Himmaphan or Himavanta, the section on the Himalaya is the second section of the 13 sections of Vessantara Jataka. The content describes about Prince Vessantara at birth, his marriage with Princess Maddī, and their two beloved children named "Jali" and "Kanha". Then, Prince Vessantara is deported to the forest by the citizens of the Sivi in the case of giving away the invaluable white elephant of the city to Kalingka city. Maddī asked Prince Vessantara to accompany him to the forest. Then she narrated the region of the Himalaya as if she had already seen it.
