On one occasion, the Buddha was dwelling at the monastery of Anathapindika in Jeta’s Gove near Savatthi. On night near at down, a goddess named Panha came to the presence of the Buddha and drawing near, respectfully saluted the Buddha and asked questions about the differences of the human beings in this world such as some ones are very trouble; some ones are so happy; some ones are beautiful or handsome; some ones are so ugly; some ones are long-lived; some ones are short-lived. Then, the Buddha delivered a sermon describing the causes of the human status.
