Description of manuscript content:
On one occasion, while residing at the Jetavanna monastery, the Buddha spoke to monks about Devadatta assassinating his older brother. Then the Buddha described one of his previous lives. Once upon a time, King Somphamit ruled Champa kingdom. He had a younger brother named Asomphamit as a viceroy. One day, Asomphamit planned to assassinate the king for his throne. Fortunately, a loyal pasha informed the king. Then the king along with his family escaped from the kingdom. They lived in the forest for years. Later, the king returned his city and got his throne back. In this life, Somphamit became the Buddha and Asomphamit became Devadatta.
