Astrology: This astrological treatise comprises the divination of auspicious time of junk sailing, auspicious letters for the giving of names, tables of the sixty-day cycle, raining days, couple-matching days. Moreover, the treatise contains sections on the selection of crystals, domestic animals, personal-used swords, months of birth, table of cardinal directions and zodiac predictions.
Ritual: The rituals comprise the pouring of water in dedication of spreading the merit, prayers recited on different occasions: arriving and leaving monasteries, offering almsgiving, cleaning monasteries and ordination halls, staying at an ordination hall and paying homage to Buddha images, etc.

In the second front cover there is a statement written
“Nan (ex-monk) In Chai Müang Lü 6/5/66”. (Thai script and numerals).
The manuscript belongs to me, monk In Chai, from Wat Umong and was written on August 6, BE 2466, corresponding to the ninth waning day of the tenth lunar month, on the first day of the week.
Remark: The date corresponds to Monday, 6 August 1923 if the second tenth lunar month of the Lan Na calendar is taken (1285 Toutyashada 24).
