After the death of King Chai Langka, Cao Nòi (younger brother) Dao Rüang was promoted to be Cao Luang (king) Daradirek Rattanaphraipot ruling Lamphun. He then intended to build a grand ordination hall at Wat Phra That Hariphunchai discussing this plan with the court officials and monks. He had a large number of logs cut and delivered via the Kuang river. The abbot Kham Saen was the leader of the craftsmen who were assisted by monks, novices and villagers.
