Description of manuscript content:
The medical treatise of Pong Kuao (Candollei or Pueraria mirifica) is an ancient Burmese recipe shared by a hermit. Anyone who cooks and uses according to the treatise has a long lifespan and nice skin. The recipe can heal diverse illnesses and is known as great elixir (Immortality Medicine). However, in order to enable the medical efficacy, the patients are supposed to purely observe the Buddhist precepts and recite certain spellings.

May those who consume the medicinal cook have a long lifespan. Phò Liang (wealthy man) Khu copied the text in dedication to Maha Singkha from Lamphun. May [the merit of copying the manuscript] support me to reach the Enlightenment. [I live in] Dòn Thòng village, Moo 4, Mae Raeng sub-district, Pa Sang district. Ayu vaṇṇaṃ sukhaṃ balaṃ. The handwriting is ugly. Please read it carefully. Aged 120 years.

A Thai statement at the end of the manuscript says “Received on September 23, 2515”. [“ได้รับเมื่อ ๒๓ กันยายน ๒๕๑๕”]
