Description of manuscript content:

The medical treatise is for cooking herbal medicine to heal different kinds of illness: toxic expeller, air-balancing medicine, skinniness troubleshooter, calculus remedy, abscess remedy, asthma remedy. Symptoms. Names, useful parts, proportions, recipes and usage of herbs. Rituals, beliefs and magic spellings dealt with various kinds of medicine.

Other notes:

At the beginning of the manuscript there is a Pali spell (gāthā) used for consecrating candles and flowers to pay homage to Buddha images and a magic incantation to be recited in travelling for protective powers against dangers. At the end of the manuscript there is a description, written in Thai language and script, of effective properties of Rhinacanthus nasutus (thòng phan chang) used for healing cancer.
