The content tells Pha Maha Cula Naggasena Thera and King of Sri Langka together with all the people of Sri Lanka made a Buddha statue for paying homage. The king gave a name to the Buddha so-called Pha Bang. Thereafter, the Buddha became the glory of their city. When Pha Maha Gosacan returned Khmer kingdom after having finished his Buddhist studies in Sri Lanka, he reported the king of Nakhon Luang about the Buddha. The king of Nakhon Luang wanted to have the Buddha. He sent a group of mission to Sri Lanka for asking the Buddha from the king of Sri Lanka. Pha Bang was sent to Khmer and established there for centuries. Later, King Fa Ngum of Lan Xang kingdom asked for the Buddha from the king of Nakhon Luang who was his father-in-law.
