Description of manuscript content:
First fascicle of Phuen Thao Kampha Tendon. The content tells once upon a time, an orphan boy lived with his grandmother in a city. They earned their lives by bagging. When the boy was seven years old, he could support himself and looked after his grandmother. One day, he set a trap alongside a river. When he visited his trap in the morning of the next day, he found a little bird was trapped. While he was catching the bird asked him for life. The orphan boy felt pity for it and let it free.

Folio 40 on the recto side: Sangkat (BE) 2516, on the fifteenth day of the waxing moon of the seventh lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), the writing of this manuscript was finished in the morning. Thu Mae (Princess) Sudachan from the house of Khok Ma (horse stable) had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Kampha tendon, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha. May I have longevity.
