Description of manuscript content:
Tamnan Phachao Tatket (The chronicle of the Buddha cutting his hair). The story of Gotama Buddha and mentions other three previous Buddhas including Kakusantho, Gonagamano and Kassapa. The story tells since the Bodhisatta was born as a Hermit Sumetha who was predicted by Dipankara Buddha that he will become a Buddha named Gotama in the future. Since then, the Bodhisatta had fulfilled his perfections for Asongkhai and one hundred eons until he was reborn as Vessantara who donated his properties, children and wife. Thereafter, he was born in Tusita heaven and invited by Indra, devas and brahma to the human world for attaining enlightenment and becoming a Buddha to help the humankind to escape from Samsara.
