The story tells about a monk in Savatthi who was suffering with lust. One day while the monk was walking to collect alms. Suddenly he saw a beautiful girl, his mind was clinging to her. So, he could not continue walking. He returned to his monastery feeling depressed. He stayed in his abode for many days without eating anything. One of his friend monk came and asked him what happened. When the friend monk understood that he went to see the Buddha, reported the Buddha about that and asked the Buddha to help his friend. Therefore, the Buddha delivered this sermon to the suffering monk and other monks and also told a story that happened in the past, which was related to the monk in order to help him to be free from the suffering by lust.
