Description of manuscript content:

On one occasion, while staying in the Jetavanna monastery the Buddha mentioned about King Maha Nama who asked the Buddha about what merit for a devout person who built a bathroom room for monks. Then the Buddha delivered a sermon describing the merit derived from making bathrooms for monks.

Folio 8 on the verso side: The writing of this manuscript was finished in the afternoon at 3.30 o’clock. I am Sathuphò (monk) Vandi sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Sòng vit, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Sādhu sādhu, I am a novice Bun who is the scribe of this manuscript. May I be released from the samsara (round of existence).
