The story tells of sòng settasat (Celebration of a tiered umbrella). The story tells of one occasion, the Buddha was dwelling at the Jetavanna monastery; King Maha Nama came and asked questions to the Buddha. The king spoke to the Buddha that the person who is faithful in the Buddha’s teachings made a tiered umbrella and offered it as a Dhamma gift. How much merit will the person gain? Then the Buddha delivered this sermon to the king.
