Description of manuscript content:
The story tells sòng sim (celebration of an ordination hall). The story tells of one occasion, the Buddha was dwelling in Rajgir; King Bimbisala came and asked questions to the Buddha. The king spoke to the Buddha that the person who is faithful in the Buddha’s teachings and built the sim (ordination hall) and donated the building to the Sangha. How much merit will the person gain? Then the Buddha delivered this sermon to the king.

ລານທີ່ 8 ໜ້າ 1: ສັດທາສາທຸພໍ່ວັນດີ ສ້າງເປັນທານ. ສຸດທິນັງ ວັດຕະເມທານັງ ນິບພານັງ ປະຣະມັງ ສຸກຂັງ ໂຫຕຸເມ. Folio 8 on the recto side: Sathuphò (monk) Vandy is the sponsor of the making of this manuscript. Sudinnaṃ vatta me dānaṃ nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukkhaṃ hotu me (The alms that I have already given to be for me to reach Nibbāna which is the greatest bliss).
Other notes:
The edges of the leaves are painted red. Some folios have traces of fractures and mould on the surfaces.
