The story of Chanthaphanit (Merchan Chantha) tells that Phaya Chanthaphanit ruled Mahanakhon Rajasthani with ten Rajadhamma (virtues for a ruler). He was respected by his people and was the model for the others. He regularly gave gifts, observed precepts and made meditation. After his death, his son was his successor.
