The story tells about the Bodhisattva's perfection of truth. On one occasion, while dwelling at the Jetavana monastery, the Buddha mentioned about one of his previous existences, and delivered this sermon. In the life of the Bodhisatta was born as a baby quail and lived with his parents in a nest in the forest. One day, while his parents were leaving for food, there was a wildfire. The baby quail could not fly away as it had no wings. So, he made a wish for the fire to go away. The power of his wish, the fire went away.
