Due to this, the administration of the kingdom was under the control of Queen Maha Devi or Nang Kaeo Phimpha, younger sister of King Lan Khamdaeng. She occupied the throne for some months and later appointed the puppet a king at will. Then, she deposed or killed the king if the king made her discontented. Therefore, many kings could not stay at the position for long. Finally, she was deposed and killed by the royal ministers. Thao Unhuean, son of King Lan Khamdaeng was succeeded to the throne and entitled the royal name as Phaya Chakkaphat Phaenphaeo.
