Description of manuscript content:
he story tells while dwelling at the Jetavanna monastery, the Buddha mentioned about a monk who associated with an enemy monk. Then the Buddha delivered a sermon to the monks and told this story. In the past, there was a water monitor king who had many other water monitors. They lived in a tree hollow near the river. The king’s son named Godapinlika was associated with a lizard. The father admonished his son and was not to be associated with the lizard. Because the lizard is a lower classed animal. If you associate with the lizard, you will confront dangers in the future. But the son did not believe it. One day, Godapinlika made the lizard angry. The lizard planned to kill Godapinlika. It brought a hunter to the hollow where the water monitors lived. The hunter set fire to the hollow. The water monitors were frightened and ran away but they were hit by the hunter and bit by his hounds. The water monitors are confronted with disasters and death because of associating with an evil friend
