The manuscript contains secular and Buddhist texts. The contents include the calculation for finding out the auspicious days for daily activities. The reckoning is also used for finding out a good day for going to war. The second text written in Pali is used by monks to recite at the ceremony of celebration for a new temple which is called Sīmā or Baddhasīmā, the boundary established by the Sangha for performing the formal acts. The boundary has to be surrounded by eight boundary makers which are of stones, trees, or termite hills.
