The text mentions about in the Buddha’s time, the Buddha accompanied with 500 bhikkhus including Ananda Thera travelled to a hill named Doi Tao where the hair relics of the previous Buddhas had been installed. Later King Asoka built the sputa to protect the relics. In Buddhist Era 800, a bhikkhu and a devoted girl named Sutsada who had religious faith, they together made a statue of the Buddha of a crystal. This made the people misunderstood and accused them having sexual misconduct but not true. The head district of the village ordered to kill Sutsada.

Folio 16 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1281, a kat mot year, a year of the goat as the Thai say, on the tenth waxing day of the eighth [lunar] month, the second day of the week (Monday), [the writing was finished]. I am Sao (Mrs.) Chantha who sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Tamnan Nithan Vat Pha Kaeo Viang Din Doi Tao (Chronicle of Vat Pha Kaeo Viang Din Doi Tao) to dedicate it to my son named Ba (Mr.) Man. If he is stuck in a place of suffering, he should move to a good place. If he is already in a good place, he should enjoy happiness numerous times more than previously.

Folio 16 on the verso side: the text was written with a blue ball-pen in Tham Lao script, says “Chao Mom (Monk) Man was the scribe”.
