Description of manuscript content:
The text contains horoscope and rituals. The one side starts with a table of the days in the local Lue calendar. The verso side of the cover folio starts with the words “Speaking about the brushing away of all misfortune from the kingdom of Chiang Tung (khema lacathani)” (ຈັກກ່າວດ້ວຍປັດສັບພະເຄາະກ້ຽງທັງມວນ ຕາມເຂມະຣາຊະທານີສືບມາກ່ອນແລ). The manuscript is illustrated with many diagrams used for reckoning the auspicious days and times for performing daily activities. The manuscript is used by a ceremonial master, who is knowledgeable and respected by the villagers as he knows how to give advice and perform rituals.
