One day, King Maha Vong entered the forest to catch elephants. At the time, Queen Taeng On was pregnant for ten months and gave birth to a son. Vaiyaka, the mother of the other five wives, planned to exchange the baby with a crocodile cub and accused the queen of giving birth to a crocodile cub. She did that in order to get Taeng On rid of the palace and her daughter would become the queen instead. When the king returned and was informed that he was angry and banished Taeng On from the palace.
