While residing in the Tavatimsa Heaven, the Buddha was asked for help by a Devaputta named Supatitthita. Supatitthita learned from his friend that he would die within 7 days and be happened in hell and then become various kinds of animals and disabled, 500 incarnations for each kind. The Buddha gave him a sermon describing his bad Karma (bad deed) from his previous lives. In order to keep him living in heaven for long, the Buddha advised him to learn and recite a special spell named Unhassavijaya.
