Description of manuscript content:
A senior monk named Pha Malai, he lived in Kamphosakham village, in Sri Langka. He was well-known for his supernatural power, he brought the messages from the underworld beings to their relatives in the human world to make merits and dedicated to them. After receiving the merits they were born in heaven. Pha Malai Thera went to worship the Buddha's hairs stupa which contained the front tooth on the right side of the Buddha with 8 lotus in Tavatimsa heaven, he met the Indras and conversed about the previous deeds of Devas what made them being born in the heaven; the Devas were all surrounded by ten thousand to one hundred thousand of their followers came to worship the Buddha's hairs stupa, and they desired to meet the Bodhisattva Mettaya when he would come to worship the stupa.

Folio 22 on the recto side: In Cunlasakkarat (CS) 1289, a poek set year, the writing of this manuscript was finished in the midday. Saen Boribat and his wife, together with their children from Ban Pak Lueng had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Malaiphotsat, in order to dedicate this merit to my parents named Xiang (ex-monk) Tue and Mrs. Phio who already died to the other world. May three of us reach the crystal city, which is Nirvāna, may our wishes and desires come true.
