Description of manuscript content:

Phra kathāvatthu (points of controversy) is the fifth book of the seven Abhidhamma books. It consists of twenty chapters. Each chapter consists of 8 -12 questions and answers. The first part of the text tells the Buddha foreseen in the future, one of his disciples named Moggalliputtissa Thera who is intelligent and knowledgeable would be presided over the third Sangayana (Buddhist Council) and compilate this kathavatthu.
