In the Buddha’s time, there were two brothers lived in the countryside of Pharanasi. One day, the younger brother went to the sugar cane field and brought two sugar canes. He thought one sugar cane was for his brother. On the way back home, he met an Individual Buddha who came from Khanthamat Mountain. The Buddha had just ended his practice of cessation of defilements. When the man saw the Buddha, he was faithful in him. So, he offered all the sugarcanes to the Buddha. After offering, he wished to have human property and heavenly property, and finally attaining enlightenment like the Buddha. The Buddha rejoiced and blessed him “may your wishes come true”.
