Description of manuscript content:

While Chanthakhat was bathing at a river, he saw a woman floating and rescued her. Later, her status was informed that she was Princess Phommachari, the daughter of King Anurut of Anurat kingdom. She was castaway by her husband, King Suthassana, due to him having a queen. Then Chanthakhat took Princess Phommachari back to his father. King Anurut offered Chanthakhat a castle as a return.

Folio 26 on the recto side: On the third day of the week (Tuesday), the fourteenth day of the waxing moon of the second lunar month, tikulayasok, the writing of this manuscript was finished in the morning (between 7.30-9.00 o’clock). Chaohua Viangkae and his wife sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Chanthakhat, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Sādhu sādhu (Amen, amen!)
