Description of manuscript content:
The story tells of a prince from a city who wanted to have the daughter of King Tesuttasipparat for his wife. He brought presents to offer the king. But the king said if you want to marry my daughter, you have to fight with the king of Khantharattha Nakhon. If you overcome him, I will allow you to marry my daughter. The prince fought with the king of Khantharattha but he could not conquer. He reported to King Tesuttasipparat about the result of the fighting. Then, King Tesuttasipparat with his giant servant would go and fight with the king of Khantharattha. When the king of Khantharattha heard that he was frightened. So, he asked for help from King Chanthakhat. Then King Chanthakhat fought with King Tesuttasipparat and his giant. Finally, King Chanthakhat conquered the fight.

Folio 26 on the recto side: On the third day of the week (Tuesday), the fourteenth day of the waxing moon of the second lunar month, tikulayasok, the writing of this manuscript was finished in the morning (between 7.30-9.00 o’clock). Chaohua Viangkae and his wife sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Chanthakhat, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ (May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbana).
