The text mentions about the story of Queen Samavadi who was pregnant of a Bodhisattva was exiled by her king husband on a raft floating along the Ganga River. Later she was rescued by Hermit Suttha who lived near the river. Indra ordered Visukam Devaputta created a hut on the bank of the river. The hermit kept her at the hut and looked after her with fruits. The she gave a birth of her son. The hermit gave a name to the baby as Surinda and also blessed him to become the great in the future.
