The texts were written in Nissaya style. The sentences start with Pali words and follow with descriptions in Lue language. For examples, anyone who is useful to us we, he or she should be considered as our relative. Anyone who looks after us, he should be considered as our father. Even if one of our relatives is not useful to us, he or she should be considered to be someone else.

Folio 2 on the recto side: A tao nyi year, Cullasakkarat (CS) 1324, on the seventh day of the waning moon of the fifth lunar month, Sunday, a kat pao day. The writing of this manuscript was accomplished in the morning (between 9.00-10.30 o’clock). Its title is “Phap Suphasit (Book of proverbs)”. The teacher wrote the book for all his disciples. Please preserve it and learn from it. The letters are not beautiful.
Other notes:
The manuscript was sewn with a cotton string at the top and has a cotton loop for hanging. The front and back covers are missing. Many folios are damaged.
