While residing at the Jetavanna monastery in Savatthi, the Buddha spoke the lifespan of human beings and other worlds. King Pasendhikosala questioned the Buddha about the diifernce of the lifespans of human beings and deities, some have longevity, but some are short-lived. The Buddha spoke that our physical bodies are impermanent, happening, staying, and vanishing accordance with the law of nature. Therefore, we should collect merit for the future lives.
