Description of manuscript content:
When the king heard the Yak said that he was delighted. He spoke to his children that it does not mean I do not love you, my beloved children but I love my enlightenment. Then he decided to give his children to the Yak for his food and declared to devas and the mother earth as witness to acknowledge his great dāna (giving). When the Yak got the children it immediately ate them in front of the king though he was not anxious but was delighted with the great giving.
Colophon:
Folio 27 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1278, a hwai si year, on the fourth waning day of the fifth [lunar] month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), a kat pao day, the writing of this manuscript was finished in the afternoon between 13.30–15.00 o’clock. Phò Khai and Mae I Khai and their parents and all their children had the religious faith to jointly sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Tamnan Nithan Pha Chao 10 Pha-Òng to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Moreover, may the benefits of this merit support me both in this life and all my future lives. May I be reborn in the same peroid of Pha Ariya Mettaya (Maitreya). Sādhu sādhu nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ niccaṃ dhuvaṃ (Amen! Amen! Nirvāna is the greatest bliss, constantly and certainly).
