Description of manuscript content:
Buddha Dham Nwai (the prediction of the Buddha). Venerable Ananda Thera questioned the Buddha about the status of the Teachings of the Buddha in the future. Then the Buddha spoke about his prediction. The Teachings of the Buddha will be destroyed by his disciples in the future. In BE 2170 (AD 1627), the people will be immoral, less good people but more bad people, and they will kill each other. In BE 2380, there will have a great disaster and the Buddhist monks will not do the Uposatha (biweekly recitation of the Vinaya rules by a chapter of Buddhist monks).

Folio 8 on ther verso side: The manuscript of Sathu Nyai (Great monk) the abbot of Vat Xiang Muan had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Phutthathamnuay to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvāna, certaintly).
